how-two 包涵的范围更大些，是大学作文课（English 101）里必修的作文类型，教材里有详细地介绍怎样写，也有范文。我曾上过该课，这个类型简单实用，所以也是上课当堂写，一小时后交卷（当然也更长）。

给你抄一些tips:

1. pay attention to your audience.不要把群众想象成专家,不要用太专业的词汇.

2. 如果你碰巧对这个问题比较熟悉,千万不要忘记自夸几句放在introduction里,提高文章的权威性.比方说How to Survive a Hotel Fire，如果你碰巧是消防队的，你就可以说 As a firefighter, I have seen many people die in hotel fires.Most could have saved themselves had they been prepared.

3.找出解决该问题的方法的全部步骤，

4。把这些步骤按时间顺序排列好，

5。group your steps in the process.每个大group可以包含几个小steps.

6。anticipate difficulties. Warn your audience in advance when to expect problems. e.g. "This step requires your constant attention." or "Youd'd better have a friend handy to help with this step."

7.tell the reader what to do if something goes wrong.比方点心照你说的方法做还是有点生,那就在多烤几分钟贝,就是你说的counter example,怎么解决，如果不能解决，可以警告读者你的strategy的适用范围。

8。最后结论强调你的主题，如果想锦上添花，也可以给你的strategy一个新应用前景。
