About political writer

I totally agree that Ha Jin is one of the best contemporary Chinese writers, but would not label him as a political writer. A tale of two cities, and Les Miserable also depict the prevalent social injustice in 19th century in Europe, but we don’t call Charles Dickens or Victor Hugo political writers. On the other hand, George Orwell might be categorized great political writer. And, of course, 郭沫若 is a spineless political writer. Few sensible people are still reading 郭沫若, but many will read Charles Dickens, Victor Hugo and Ha Jin in years to come.
