FOOD CHOICES & 6 PACKS
Many of you have asked me what kind of exercise will help you to get 6-packs abs/bikini-ready tummy.
Well, the answer is: “Great abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym”!
It is all about body fat percentage. Anatomically speaking, we all already have those ripped 6-pack abs. It’s just a matter of making them visible by lowering your body fat %.
Yes, exercise is very important, crunches and other abdominal or core training may help a little bit, but let me be honest with you here: you can’t out exercise a bad diet. When your goals revolve around fat loss, exercise is a distant second behind nutrition.
In order to reveal your 6-pack abs, it is necessary to fuel your body with the right food choices!
Here are a couple of rules that I’ve found helpful to get me on the track to success:
- CUT THE SUGAR: even Splenda, Sweet n’ low and Stevia. (actually they are much worse than raw sugar), even the pita chip with 50% less fat (shown in pic:)
- EAT WHOLE FOODS: dump all those processed boxed stuff, I believe the best food is home-made by simple ingredients.
- EAT VEGGIES AND FRUITS: banana, spinach, broccoli, all kinds of berries, all kinds of nuts, flax seed, sweet potato are my all time favorites!
- DRINK LOT OF WATER: Yes! A lot !!
- KEEP A FOOD LOG: For everything you eat and each foods caloric value and nutrition info..
- If you have to do some abdominal exercise, forget about that “8 mins abs” , instead, try some COMPOUND EXERCISES such as barbell squats, dead-lifts, planks, etc.
