Several comments:
1. She has to take low salt diet. This will 100% helpful.
2. Swelling may be due to salt retention, or side effect of Nifedipine, or even heart failure.
3. Nifedipine has be to XL (extended release form). You need to make sure about that since it was started in China. Take once or even twice daily. Maximal dose 90 mg twice daily.
4. Will be better to add an old medication called HCTZ, if her kidney function is okay.
5. Need to have blood work every 3-6 months since she is on ACE-I which could cause hyperkalemia.
