The good news is there are steps you can take to reduce the sweats!????
If you’re having night sweats, here are some tips to support your liver:
1. Eat healthy fats from animal sources each day to provide the body with plenty of vital nutrients to support the liver. Some of my favorite sources are: butter, ghee, tallow, duck fat, pastured eggs, and raw dairy. The liver needs healthy amounts of retinol for its normal functioning so that’s why I only listed animal fats.
2. Do a castor oil pack over the liver 3-4 times a week. Castor oil packs are a gentle and effective way to detox the liver.
3. Drink a small glass of beet kvass first thing each morning. This tonic is fabulous for the liver and very easy to make.
To support the adrenals and help reduce day-time hot flashes, here are some first steps to take:
1. Eat breakfast within one hour of waking. If you wait any longer than this, it can cause your blood sugar levels to decrease too much and cause your adrenals can start producing cortisol, furthering any imbalance.
2. Eat regular meals throughout the day and include some protein, complex carbohydrates and healthy fat in each meal. I know this is a simple step, but skipping meals can put a strain on the adrenals.
3. Only do low-impact exercise like walking, pilates, gentle yoga or stretching. High impact exercise puts strain on the adrenals, especially when the adrenals are already fatigued, so it’s best to stick with lower impact right now.
The sweats usually don’t go away immediately, but as you take steps to support the body you should see them subside over time!????
