Grade IV astrocytoma (四级星型细胞脑瘤），又叫Glioblastoma Multiforme (多型胶质母细胞瘤),是人类最为恶性的肿瘤之一。在不治疗的情况下，生存平均为4个月。手术加放疗和化疗，平均生存提高到12-14个月。

全世界都在用一个方案治疗此病，都是根据欧洲癌症合作组织（EORTC)的一项实验结果而来。在安全范围内最大限度的切除肿瘤后，放疗加化疗。放疗为6周，同时加化疗Temozolomide(Temodar),然后继续用Temozolomide 6个月。肿瘤生存由12个月提高到14个月，2年生存明显提高,5年生存几近10% (9.8%).当然效果还是很不好，但比以前好多了，以前的5年生存几乎为0。
