I am a manager in a state government agency and was promoted about half a year ago. Therea are two staff memebers in my team spending quite some time on gossipping. Is there a good way to address it indirectly?
In this case, one of them is a 60 year old woman who is close to retirement and always feels threatened by anybody who is involved in her work cause she's been working in this area in the past 10 years.The other employee is a 50 year old woman who did not get promoted but started with me at the same time. Because of that kind of relationship, I noticed it is quite hard to get my messages across. It starts to affect other team members.
