almost all x-linked diseases are recessive. The manegment could be to select a male baby if the parents want a baby at all ----- if a genetic consultation is made. This way the gene can be eliminated rather than carried over one more generation.

The selection most of the time is done by chorionic biopsy. The next step, if the fetus is female, is too politically sensitive. I remember those days in residency where OR nurse don't want us to go to certain OR room, mentioning genetic procedures.
