Lijuan Wang (1960-1992)

Lijuan Wang, 31, a graduate student in physics at Purdue University was found dead March 12, 1992 in Maniwaki, Quebec, Canada.

Born on March 21, 1960, in Dalien, China, she graduated from Beijing University of Technology in 1983. She taught physics at Dalien University of Technology from 1983 until 1987.

She came to the United States in 1987 and lived in Indianapolis, while attending Indiana University-Purdue University, where she completed her master's degree in physics in 1989. She came to Purdue in 1989 to study for her doctorate in physics.

She was rated by her students as an outstanding teacher. An excellent researcher, she had been awarded a Purdue Research Foundation Fellowship, which would have begun in August 1992.
