我种的荷花和我拍的荷花

我喜欢粉红的荷花，但以前认为在美国难得见到粉红的荷花，只能在植物园看到零星的几颗。去年我在网上买了二三十粒莲子培育，成活了十几棵，但等到近秋天也不见开花，一查才知道从种子种起要第二年才能开花，只好把两个大盆放在室外过冬。今年我从网上买了三支不同品种中等尺寸的莲藕（$33/支），5月初种下，一个星期就长出叶子，现在开花啦！图1-4是我种的荷花，开花的是今年种下的莲藕（三支在一个大盆里，长得最高的那盆，另外3盆是去年从莲子种起的），其余是我在新泽西大地雕塑公园（Ground for Sculpture）的荷花池拍的.
