I know a little. If the house is under your parents name and yourself, when they pass away, the title won't transfer to you automatically. You need to pay 2% (maybe 3% I forget) of market price of that house to goverment only to get their name out of title. (Well, you can choose not to do that if you don't want to sell the house.) If they take name out before that, you only need to pay 0.25% of market value. It is very tricky about how much is market value. But if your name is not in title, you need to pay much much more to add your name.
