Just 12-days vacation to Hawaii (3-island at least), and join local fun: sunset cruise, submarine, whale watching, parasailing, Buffect-dinner(good dinner), and 2 persons Rround-trip with hotel stay ($90-$100+ for good beach-side hotel), and inter-island flight --- it will cost you more than $1000 already.

So you actually haven't been many places so far.
