There is something you can try first, if it does not work then you can call the AC guy. First switch the power to the outside unit, then open the box and twist the cap (which connect two wires together) count clockwise to disconnect the wires then connect them together. Some time two wires look like connected together by a cap they are actually disconnected. This situation happened to me twice and saved me $100 by doing it myself.
