My experience is to be generous to your parents and relative especially the first time. Because:1) It's not cheap for a family to go anywhere; 2) no matter what you tried to save money, you are going to spend a lot anyway, so better be prepared; 3) After the first a few trips, you will spend money mostly for your own enjoyment. Nobody expects you to give them a lot everytime you return; 4) Think about when exchange rate went up to 1:6 or higher in the future. Better spend it now.
