It is strang that you did not see it before you sign the contract.
买来梯子后上去看了一次，在主卧室衣帽间天花板有个出口通向阁楼。上去刚露个头就吓了一大跳。和想象中的阁楼差别太大了。

我的藏宝计划破灭了。这是小事啦。问题是这样的阁楼是正常的么？那些棉花是干吗用的？保温么？就这么铺着不是很容易引发火灾？岂不是巨大的安全隐患？大家的房子阁楼是这样的么？有没有必要清理一下那些棉花？

Those 棉花 are not fire-able. There is for 保温. If you like to use the area as a storage room. You may put hard board on it. But be carefully, those are not designed for havey staff.
