回复：Too much you leverage? Just curious.

The story: The money collected to buy old/bad property and fix up/remodel them to market. My friend did travel once there and see nothing wrong(I believe they tried to cover). The promised annual ROI is more than 50%!!! The private fund managers are white and the chief suddenly died of heart attack during driving in early 2004.

It's really dramatic and big mess! Total investment involved is more than 3 millions and my friend as well as his chinese friends and me made up a little less than 30 percent, that's nearly 1 million. Later investigation found out he spent a lot those collection money on his mercede car, his dauthter's tuitions and other personal stuff, he is CEO and his wife is CFO. Some property he bought got default as you can imagine! His wife the CFO then disappeared but got found later on. what you can do even though we won the case in court since no money left and she has no much asset we can claim!

Really big sad lesson and I wish I should have surfed this forum much earlier to get experienced and knowlegable. I'm obliged to write this because after I read a lot of good article on this forum and If I don't have mine I just feel I owe other readers money!

Just be real and use our brain to make sound decisions!
