Hi every, I just turned down the offer because I think it may not worth the efforts. Remote landlord is really headache and uncertain especially to a rookie like me! Actually 3 years ago I jumped to a real estate related private trust investment strongly recommended by a friend and I invested a six figure amount and hope it would provide a high ROI and end up a total loss and the case is still pending but I believe I couldn't cover any except IRS return. What a hard lesson without thorough considering and research to a rookie!!!.
By the way, the project involved is also remote in a Southern state, I totally believe my friend is in good faith though he is promised to get some commisions. All together more than 20 of his friends including me in US have involved in this case and total loss is nearly 1 millon. My friend alone made up almost half of that!
The lesson: Don't easily trust anybody unless you have done some research regardless whether you buy stock, MF or real estate! It's your mony you hard earned which deserves good management!!!
Hope you all can learn sth from my experice and make sound decision including but not limit to mony investment!
