ULTRASOUND OF THYROID
right thyroid lobe is 5.8*1.4*1.5cm left lobe is 5.1*1.6*1.6cm,and isthmus is 0.18cm.
the echo,texture is heterogeneous and there are multiple hypoechoic nodules scattered throughout the gland.the largest nodule 1cm is in the lower pole.the other nodules are all 5mm and less.
the submental triangle shows a 6mm lymph node.the left anterior triangle superiorly shows three lymph nodes and one of them is 1.1*0.4cm .the lymph nodes show fatty hilum.
SUMMARY
normal sized thyroid gland with heterogeneous echo texture and multiple hypoechoic nodules.
differential diaghosis includes multinodular goitre and hashimoto"s thyroiditis.
no change since september 16/2009.
