TSH normal value is 0.5-5, if TSH higher than normal, but T3 and T4 on the normal level, called subclinical hypothyroidism, you can either take or not take medication under this circumstance, but as long as TSH > 10, most of the doctors suggest taking thyroid hormone in order to prevent any possible complications due to low value of thyroid hormone.
