教你一个术语：burden of production

一个案件，原告（plaintiff）/起诉方有提供证据的责任（burden of production）。因为你去告别人，不能直接说被告欠钱，原告总要提供证据，这是常识。

但是，当原告提供了证据以后，burden of production shifts to defendant。如果被告要质疑证据的真实性，被告必须提供其他证据来反击原告的证据，而不是简单地说：“这个证据是假的”。

所以，如果对方要质疑你closing date，他必须提供其他证据来证明他的论点。

也就是说，各方提出论点，各方有自己提供证据的责任。

A party's obligation to come forward with sufficient evidence to support a particular proposition of fact.
