楼主做的是对的！每个有孩子的家庭，至少在加州，都应该搞revocable living trust！

在加州，光有遗嘱是不够的。有遗嘱，也要走漫长的法庭认证（probate），遗嘱才能生效，费钱费时。

设立revocable living trust，才能避免probate
