About a yr ago, FDA approved Omacor for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia (levels > 500 mg/dL) in adults. Each Omacor capsule contains 90% omega-3 acids(84% EPA/DHA). Nonpreion omega-3 dietary supplements typically contain only 13%-63% EPA/DHA.

Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are the effective natural ingredients of Omacor or fish oil.
