There are several possibilities for the finding of elevated TSH with T3 and T4 within their normal ranges.
You probably need to discuss with your doctor, better yet an endocrinologist for the diagnosis and possible outcomes. Make sure you understand what are the pros and cons of the treatment.
The possible outcomes depend on the underlying causes and how severe the underlying medical conditions are. One possibility is TSH may even return to normal without any treatment; on the other extreme, you can possibly develop overt hypothyroidism down the road.
If the subclinical hypothyroidism is the cause for your abnormal lab test results, then significantly elevated TSH and other associated findings or comorbilities such as abnormal fasting lipid profile and high serum antithyroid microsomal antibody titers, cardiac problems, neuropsychiatric disease, pregnancy, etc. may also influence a physician's decision about treatment.
If you can post all the findings and all pertinent medical information here, maybe jiamei can help you figure out what is the best nest step.
Perhaps your doctor feels the same way you feel: 关于甲状腺-高兴又有点担心,而且有很多感慨, hehehe...........
Good Luck!
It may not be always a simple medical problem.
