与新冠无关的短故事，发生在小儿麻痹症疫苗还没发明的时代。一个十二岁的女孩忽然同时染上了三种小儿麻痹症，四肢麻痹，呼吸麻痹，吞咽麻痹。当时的医疗条件有限，但是她幸运活了下来，并完全康复了。故事中解释的一种物理疗法（The Sister Kenny Treatment)，对她的治疗和康复起了很大的作用。
