My dad has Parkinson for 5-6 years. he saw Dr. Wang Jian once a year, taking medicines primary under his advise (we live 5 hours away from shanghai). Dr. Wang is Professor & Deputy director of Department of Neurology; Director of Movement Disorder Division, Huashan Hospital.
Dad started taking 金刚烷胺 3 month ago. He also did 做小肠气手术， 全麻 in Oct 2016
My mom said he occasionally says non-sense (just a sentence) at evening time, for about a year. After he had surgery in Oct 2016, it is getting a little worse.
My sister said dad can talk with her smoothly when she visited him during the day time. She did not see any sign of 老年痴呆.
The problem is, situation gets worse when dad is nervous. He shakes more, of couse. This time, when he fell and admitted into hospital, he was so nervous, did things such as, talking a lot, taking off cloth, walk outside, pee on bed, move frequently ...
Dad wants to do surgery so badly. Now hospital sent him home without surgery.
Under Dr. Wang suggestion, we stopped 金刚烷胺. Started taking another medicine he suggested.
(1) We are able to send him to another hosiptal. If he were your relative, what will you do, surgery or no surgery? Shall we do surgery or not?
(2) What is the consequenced to wait to do surgery until 2-3 month late?
