AACR to Meet with Vice President Biden’s Office Today to Help Facilitate Moon Shot Vision

Fifteen distinguished members of the AACR will have the privilege of meeting with Vice President Biden’s staff today to discuss his quest for a “moon shot in this country to cure cancer.” These prestigious cancer researchers and physician-scientists will highlight the considerable progress in cancer research that has led to tremendous potential in areas such as precision medicine and immunotherapy. AACR members will discuss their areas of cancer expertise to share the remarkable science under way, including several initiatives spearheaded by the AACR, and offer insight into priorities that can help achieve the vice president’s goal of making “an absolute national commitment to end cancer as we know it today.”
