Polyps are very common among women of certain age group. The cause is uncertain. Some relates to excessive hormones, such as estrogen, but no solid evidence. Surgeon seems the only treatment so far. And it's a very small, quick procedure. Pain is very minimum. Yes, it can come back, but nothing to worry. My personal experiences, I had two, because it came back. And I am pregnant right now. So don't worry, you don't need to be scared.
