I was naturalling following the low fat, whole food, and almost meat-free diet for about 2 years. For the two years, my BMI stayed solid between 20 and 21, and could not go down any further. Also I am constantly hungry, and craving for food. I feel that I had too much startch and fiber, which actually made me feel like a frog - with thin arms and legs, and a bloated belly.
Now I tried to intake more plant based good fat from nuts, avocado, coconut meat,etc. I finally passed my plateau, and lost almost 10 lbs.
I would agree that your suggestion is good for overweight people, but for normal weight people who wants to keep losing weight, they definately need to control startch portion, and add protein and good fat.
