My child had it. It was found out at his one month check up. The doctor said we should take him for surgery, the sooner the better. We did when he was about 50+ days old. No problem at all and we can't even find any mark now. The skin cut was not sewed. They used something to glue the skin. Take your baby to a good children's hospital. I don't think there is any brain damage. My child has high IQ and is in the gifted program.
