I have being suffering from RA almost ten years.Sometimes I wish I could rather die becasue I can't stand the extrem pain, swellness,and stiffness all over my joints. I have used Humira(once two-week self injection) off and on for two years, and it have workd very well for me; however, I stoped to use it because its side effect(skin rash). I'm using the Enbrel now(once a week self injection), it has the same effect as Humira. The problem is that those biological engineered medicines are very expensive,almost $600 a dose, you need have an insurance to get it covered; and they can lower your immunity,so you are easily get sick; they are only good for treatments, not a cure for the RA(there is no cure for RA so far). When you are using it, your symptoms are gone,and you feel so good; but after you stop using it, your pain, swellness will come back.
