Really, sorry to hear about that

1. Where is your doctor? US? Canada or China?
2. If it is true "your ovary is too old. It cannot create egg", it is a done deal and nothing could be done. You can use other donnor's egg.
3. You are only 40 and it is hard to believe that your ovary completely shuts down. You can have ultrasound/intravaginal to see if your ovary still produce egg. If so , egg can be harvest and subjected to in vitro fertilization with your huby's sperm.
4. If you are in US, please have yourself referred to a reproductive endocrinologist to treat your infertility.
5. Do not lose hope. I have seen 50 year old still bearing baby.
