The doctor that I am going to talk to is the lung specialist. I will ask him for the oral steroid. My son actually seldom used the oral steroid in the past years. We have prednisolone available at home just for several asthma attack. But most of the wheezing and coughing will be stop by the pulmicort and xopernex..so pediatrician did not have further instruction...maybe that is the reason why his lung function was low? Everytime when he is recovered from asthma attack, when I took him to the pediatrictian, nobody check his lung function. The doctor just listen to his lung to make sure everything is fine.... I did not even know this lung function thing until we recently saw the specialist. The specialist also mentioned that maybe my son's lung was used to the low function... Maybe using oral steroid is another way?
