70老人摔骨折，请问有什么恢复方面的建议？

心情很糟。
刚刚从同学哪里得知老妈今年夏天在家摔了一跤，髋骨骨折，手术治疗，打了钢针，现在能双拐下地走动。具体情况同学就知道这么多，老妈一再叮嘱我同学不能告诉我，说最困难的时刻已经过去了。我现在也不能直接问老妈。我每次打电话给家里，都觉得一切正常，他们瞒得好苦呀。

打算尽快回去看看，不知道这边有什么我可以带回去让老妈有助恢复了。钙片，关节灵这些我知道，还有别的建议吗？还有什么辅助设备可以让老妈行动方面点？
