this method seems to be reported in the Lancet

It is a case report in the Lancet published in 1999 saying a female used the method to successfully get rid of gallstones.

I did not have access to the original article and have no way of knowing whether Dr. Dekkers ever tested the stones to make sure they were real or how the female's condition was improved by the method.

But a couple of commentaries accompanying the report do not seem to believe the method is effective.

In any case, there are quite some things people can do to prevent the condition. No one should wait to develop some gallstones and then subject themselves to treatments.
