It is true that asthma runs in the family. Allery plays a big role as well. Anti-allergy medications are often used to treatment asthma. However, sometimes, other diseases can be misdiagnosed as asthma, such as adenoid hypertrophy and vocal cord dysfunction. When the disgnosis is not correct, of course, there will be no proper treatment.

Asthmatics rarely have fever, unless they have acute infection. There may be something else going on.
