Oh, my bad.

If so, I think he meant he has autoimmune disease. I do not think the current medicine has reached the so called promising stage. Depend on what specific disease he has, different things need to be done. But hiding from Dr. is not one of them. He has to cooperate with Dr. to control his symptoms, no cure available though.
