Keep in mind that carcinoma in situ is the early stage of cancer. It's already cancer, but it's a special form, localized, not-invasive-yet cancer. IF it is COMPLETELY removed, it would be cured. OTHERWISE, there is a big chance for pregression. That would mean a real cancer then.
