The prevalence of myopia in adults has also been reported for the period between 1966 and 2019 in Olmsted County, which encompasses the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (Tailor et al., 2024). For adults there older than age 18, 57.1% had myopia in the 2010s. This represents a 68% increase from the 33.9% prevalence recorded in the 1960s.
