请教人工流产

约了去做人工流产，药物流产，其实等到去见医生的时候都快8周了，但是医院说我还可以选择药物。然后说要自备止痛药，当天得一直有人陪着，我想问会很疼吗，医生不给任何止痛措施吗？会疼多少天呢？我还在上学，想先知道得请多少天的假。
还有整个过程复杂吗，我英文不太好，当时打电话约的时候，人家还说叫我带着翻译去.
做手术会好些吗？
