一位七十多岁的朋友

身体不错，但视力出现问题，因为儿子在波士顿工作，所以来这里看眼睛。经检查，是白内障，可以考虑手术，但突然他失去了知觉，家人打911送急诊，苏醒后并无大碍，但短期记忆完全丧失，自己感到很困惑，不明白为什么会在波士顿？

医生认为可能是小中风，做了各项检查，认知毫无问题，从生活常识到总统选举对答如流，腿脚活动也毫无问题。MRI等监测发现脑健康程度相当于五十多岁的人，丝毫没有中风的迹象。但就是把最近两个星期的事情忘得一干二净。

年轻的医生觉得无法解释和诊断，只好请来了老专家，立刻就找到了问题的根源。
