The condition is called "Poison Ivy" in layman's

term. Medical term is "contact dermatitis".

You have several choices.
1. Buy 1 % Hydrocortisone cream (OTC-over the counter). Apply to lesions three times a day.

2. Add Benadryl 25 to 50 mg (two tablets) 2 -3 times a day to treat itching.

3. Watchful waiting -- the condition may get worse during the first 3 - 5 days. Then, It will get better.

4. 不会蔓延到其它部位的.只要不感染,没甚末危险.

5. Some lesions will form blisters and may ooz clear yellow fluid. This is OK. As long as there is no purulent discharge (pus) or surrounding erythema, it is fine.

6. Please do not make visiting parents do any serious "heavy lifting" house work.
