I do implants myself ;-) Again, everone is different. Talk to your dentist first why you need a "specialist"? More info would be helpful.
I put in implants comfortably most of the time, however I do refer to oral surgeons if my patients need block bone graft or a big sinus lift or a reroute of the nerve; and I refer patients to periodontists if they need to have very tedious gum scalloping, especially the esthetic zones...
So, talk to yoru dentist first and you'll know what's going on. QQH me if you already know specifically what you want.
