There might be some miscommunications. You can check with the office and discuss about the payment, and I would not "argue" about it. The quote you got had no binding, and patient is responsible for everything anyway regardless of insurance payment. Also, dental offices and insurance companies adjust fees and coverage ratios all the time, and so no guarantee under state laws even with the so called "preauthorizations".
