baby tooth issue

Sorry I can't type in chinese.

My son, who just turned 18 years old, has one baby tooth never fell. The problem is there is no adult tooth below the baby tooth. Family dentist recommends to extract the baby tooth (it is true that the baby tooth is a bit sinking), then implant.

I hesitate to go with the extract and implant path, I am thinking wait as long as if the baby tooth still stays and not to extract because I heard some many friends have issues after extract. Any suggestions on this situation?
