Weird COVID-19 virus. Seeto 

 

This RNA virus is relatively stable and have very little variation, so vaccines are the key to the best success against the endemic 

 

The incubation period is 3 to 14 days long, but the early infectivity is very strong. The RNA level of the new coronavirus has reached a peak within 5 days of symptoms. Compared with the SARS virus, the peak value can be higher than 1000 more infectious.  One person can infect more than 3 per person.

 

More than half of the patients are asymptomatic or minimal symptomatic but can be infectious

 

No chronic virus carriers have been found yet. 

 

Although it is unknown whether the recovered person can be reinfected,  It mostly will not be and the presence of antibodies may be a sign that the patient is beginning to recover.

 

Older and the ones with diabetic, hypertension and cardiovascular conditions , the mortality rate  is high,  but among the seriously ill patients admitted to hospital, young and middle-aged people also account for 20%.

 

 There are no data on the sequelae of this disease after recovery.  Nervous system damage has occurred: necrotizing hemorrhagic encephalitis, uncommon.

 

Whether it will come again next winter is unknown, but the possibility is high.

 

In terms of treatment, the combination test of azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine is still in progress, and the effect is unknown.  The antibody of the recovered person may be useful, but the portion is limited for a while.  The development of monoclonal antibodies is expected.

 

At a time when there is a lot of uncertainty, a nationwide national stay at home for 10 weeks, wearing a mask when going out, people are 2 meters or 6 feet apart, washing hands, not touching the face, perhaps the most reliable.
