It totally covers the smell and texture of the soy beans. My kids can't tolerate anything that reminds them of soy beans. They absolutely hate the taste of soy beans, chives, green onions, gingers and any other special ingredients in Chinese food. Definitely not drink soy milk or almond milk either. My son is very resistant to Chinese food, such as dumplings and noodles, eating soy bean cakes is unthinkable to him.
