Ask neurosurgeon:
1, show you the CT sacn and explain how many percentage of the tumor was removed, where the tumor was and how the outcome will be? because different area, the size, the type and stage of tumor will have totally different outcome.
2, ask the doctor what was the CT like, ask him to show you and explain to you, tell him that you want to know and see the picture.
3, let the surgeon explain to you why your wife still has increased ICP after surgery.
4, Ask him if she has any complications: hemorrhage? extensive edema? what medication does she have?
5, EVD is normally inserted if the ICP is high, it is closely monitored. complications happened after surgery, sometimes patient's ICP is so high that the pupils dilate and patient becomes comatose, another surgery or medication is needed depending on the situation.
6, again, ask the doctor, the neurosurgeon, the nurse, the nurse practitioner, the social worker, let them know you are worried and you wanted to know what is happening. she is your wife and you have the right to know what is happening to her. they should and will tell you. Knowledge is power!!
nobody here knows what really happens to her, so ask the professionals there.
Good luck.
