牙齿gum graft

我左边上面的牙齿有三颗有gum recession， 牙根暴露， 但不疼，不流血，也不敏感。

医生让我做gum graft  ， 我想问做gum graft 后牙齿会保持得更久吗？ 还是只是为了好看？

Will teeth benefit from gum grafting or gum grafting is just for cosemetic reason?

有人做过吗？ 有医生知道吗？
