I have said for many times that traditional Chinese medicine has a lot of perls and greatness. I said in this forum before that the government should sponsor more research, such as doulbe blind or head to head research. In this case, do we even have any research evidence in any language showing that traditional Chinese medicine slows down progression of chronic kidney disease better than Western medicine? I guess there might be some out there. The funny thing nowadays is that Japanese even studies more Chinese medicine than Chinese government. If it is not funny, it is truly sad for Chinese medicine. The government should sponsor more research on Chinese medicine, to protect it from disappearing.
What kind of doctor patients here want? A doctor said that "oh, I had a case like this last week and I will treat you the same way", or "this treatment is 50% more successful than placebo or another treatment by a scientific research in NEJM"? The answer is clear to most doctors. But how many ordinary patients like you and me truly appreciate the question here?
