Highly effective for advanced or metastatic stomach cancer if she responds to the drug. Good thing is that Xeload is a tablet. Bad thing is that it's not cheap, though much cheaper than Avastin (which fails stomach cancer trial). If your friend is of petite size, then she probably needs 6 tablets (500mg) per day. 360 tablets cost around 9000+ US dollars. It's 60 days of dosage, which lasts about 3 months (2 week on one week off cycle). For metastatic stomach cancer, she probably need to take it until drug resistance comes up.

She also need a medical doctor to closely monitor all the side effects when she is taking Xeloda.
